Your PTO is comprised of parents, educators, and community members. All of efforts are made possible by gracious donations of time and effort by our school staff, parents and committee members.

What Is the PTO?
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers dedicated to enhancing our children’s educational experience at East Haddam Elementary School.  We provide volunteers for numerous programs and activities throughout the year, funding for various cultural arts programs, funding for extra items for teachers and staff as well as sponsoring many after school activities, most of which require volunteer help.

Why Should You Come To PTO Meetings?
After all, you are a member of the PTO. Each and every parent of a child in East Haddam Elementary School is a member, and your comments and questions are always welcome. The PTO could always use some fresh ideas. It is a great forum to talk about things. We always have time for open discussion at the end of the meetings.

Additionally, the PTO raises over $20,000 each year and only a handful of people decide how it is spent. Come to a meeting and help decide where that money is spent. We have a Cultural Arts committee with parents from each grade level that decide, along with the teachers, what programs your children will be seeing each year.
